I felt like the ending was rushed, but thinking more about it, realized that if you pace your whole book (whole series, really) at freight train speed, it doesn't quite work to have a long, drawn out ending where everything is carefully explained and neatly wrapped up. Wrenching is a good word for it, but I felt like it was really well done. There's a Hunger Games group on Ravelry where they've talked it to pieces. I'll send you a link. I'm sending a friend request, too! :)Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00754250792673037859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8537943107691885690.post-73667255906006456862010-09-08T20:49:32.489-07:002010-09-08T20:49:32.489-07:00LOL, Paula! It's a little expensive, but I try and buy a skein whenever I have a 40-50% off coupon!

Mockingjay (without giving anything away for folks) was heart wrenching. I felt spent after finishing it and a little lost, but I loved it. It made me want to read the series again, all quickly in a row. I read each one right when they came out, so it was awhile in between. I didn't love how Mockingjay ended, but I understand and respect S. Collins reasoning for it. I wanted to know more at the end, instead of a look back. And yes, I held it together until the last 40 pages or so...then I cried like a baby.

What did you think?Tami Klockauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07652939575098493098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8537943107691885690.post-27854852222564506332010-09-08T19:43:26.889-07:002010-09-08T19:43:26.889-07:00Thanks very much for making an afghan with all tha...Thanks very much for making an afghan with all that fisherman's wool.
