Work-in-Progress Wednesday 56
Hi everyone! This is going to be short today as it's kind of late and I have to get up at the crack of dawn (as I write these posts Tuesday night). I'm excited that I should have time to check out some WIPW posts this week!
Some of you may be wondering where my Candy Skein post is for this week! I've decided to move that to Thursdays, due to my sanity. I'd like to keep it. ;) Mondays/Tuesdays wasn't working out and was just too stressful trying to get the new yarn finished. Look for a post tomorrow (Thursday) to see new colorways. Also, I have big big news next week to share regarding Candy Skein. I can't wait to tell you all. I'll be releasing the new KAL next week, too!
Let's get to WIPW!
My Little Shells so far. I've actually finished all of the charts except for the border, but due to having SOOO much yarn left (I still have 72 grams out of 100), I'm going to probably end up doubling the lace section. I started to today at my meet up group, but then realized that it wasn't working out right, so I'm having to tink back about 200 stitches. NOT fun! LOL I still love the project though, the yarn is great for it and I can't wait to block it!
Many of you asked about my skirt last week (thank you for that!). I just didn't have much more to show you, so I figured since I will be working on this for a LONG time, I wouldn't bother posting it. This week, I have a bit more done, so I thought I'd include it. It's now getting too wide for my picture set up! Slowly but surely....
That's it for me today! Happy WIPW!
For those that are new to WIPW, to share your WIPW post with us, just fill out the Mr. Linky below. Despite it saying you must comment, don't feel as if you do. That is something Mr. Linky automatically adds. I just ask you to check out a few of the links posted to see what everyone else is working on and comment there if you can. Everyone loves feedback and a little encouragement on their projects! Also, please link back to this post in your post to get the word out! The more the merrier!
Your Little Shells is *gorgeous*!!!!! I was looking for a shawl to knit since I finished my first, so I'm happy to download this one and give it a go. :)

I love the shawl, you are motoring through it.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is stunning. I love the colour, very into greys and silvers at the moment.
Your shawl is coming along nicely. What pattern are you using for you skirt? Each week it has me more intrigued.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt! Looking forward to see it done :)
ReplyDeleteTami, your Little Shells looks amazing. I am intrigued with the skirt pattern too!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you are making good progress. I really like the color of your shawl and I'm anxious to see the finished skirt.
ReplyDeleteI didn't take pictures last night as I was busy working on one of my WIP's. Still plugging along on my top and I did start a new hat however, I left it at the farm last week so I'll have to pick it up this weekend. Have a great day!
Hmmm..... my current KAL's are ending. This could be prefect timing. Excited!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheck you out, modifying your first lace shawl! That's so cool, and it's looking fabulous. Skirt is great too -- it's going to be perfect for Fall. Excited to hear your Candy Skein news!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving that Little Shells! That yarn is a great match for the pattern!
ReplyDeletethat shawl is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful yarn -- Little Shells is looking great! I think adding more to the lace section is a good idea. Some of the shawlette patterns are too small for me -- they don't wrap very well or they just look like munchkin scarves.
ReplyDeletethe skirt is coming along nicely too -- such interesting construction.
Love the skirt, and the colors, too!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is great but thanks for the update on the skirt. I was missing it. Can't wait for your Candy Skein announcement.
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is looking gorgeous! And that skirt is going to wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely makes sense to rearrange your posts to days that will let you stay sane! :)
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is looking fantastic! Can't wait to see it finished. Tinking lace is such a chore. Hope it doesn't drive you too crazy!
ReplyDeleteI am always so impressed with your projects! I think knitting is so cool. I am at a very beginner skill level with knitting. It's very intimidating to me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :)

ReplyDeleteLittle Shells looks great, and the skirt as well! :) Lots of people linking their blogs now...
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is beautiful!! I'm coming back in the morning to check more posts.
ReplyDeleteI'm puzzled by the shape of the skirt-in-progress ... I'm looking forward to seeing that finished!
ReplyDeleteDIpping my toe into WIP Wednesday, hello!
ReplyDeleteI miss crafting!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl and the skirt both look pretty good. I'm guessing the skirt has a gore design to it?
ReplyDeleteI still adore that skirt -- every little bit you add makes it clear how beautifully it will drape when finished. Way to go!
