Happy Friday! To be honest, I almost forgot about this post! I was busy dyeing tons of yarn today, and have great new colorways to share on Monday (on the Candy Skein website/Ravelry group) and on Tuesday here on the blog. It's all Yummy fingering, some kettle dyed and a few hand painted! The new colors will inspire you to think toward your Autumn knitting.
Not much is going on this weekend for me. We were thinking of going to Los Angeles, but my husband has been a little under the weather. That gives me time to work on my skirt, trying to get a little further on it so I can start my Candy Skein KAL shawl. More on that later!
My swap partner hasn't received her swap package yet, so I don't want to give too much away. I decided to share this picture, of the little guy smelling the one bloom (so far) on my gardenia bush. It doesn't show too much. Come back next Friday when I can share more pics of him!
I promise to post Sunday for Year of Projects! I've been pretty bad about writing dedicated posts for it.
Share your FOs!
You are such a tease!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your skirt this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend and hope you make good progress on your skirt.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable photo. I like that your knitted creature is checking out the flowers. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou know I always love it when you knit monsters! So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a super cute photo I can't wait to see the front view:) The colors on your yarn are also fab!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the skirt - hope hubby feels better soon!! Stop teasing with the itty bitty monster glimpses! ;-D
ReplyDeleteReally really want to see this little monster!
ReplyDeleteVery yummy looking yarn! I guess I'll have to wait another week to see the full frontal monster!

ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern for odd sleeve is from my very well worn Sirdar 331, Simple Easy Knits. I use it for most of the pullovers I make.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! I finished my socks in the Blueberry Cobbler yarn. I just love them. Thanks for custom-dyeing the yarn for me. I look forward to seeing your new colorways, and your skirt!
ReplyDeleteIf your monster was in my garden he would have to admire the ground elder. I am very jealous of your gardenia, one blossom or not ;-). Your yarn is lovely, I shall keep an eye on your shop for when I next have spare money (may be 2014 ;-) ).
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can see of the monster, it looks so cute! :) The colors are just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI've been having a hard time with the dedicated Year of Projects posts, myself. I'm hoping to have something this Sunday, too.
I hope your hubby feels better soon!
What marvelous colors your monster has... remember Aaaaaah! Real Monsters?? Great cartoon!
ReplyDeleteHe looks cute! I can't wait to see him!
ReplyDeleteAw, can't wait to see monster's front side :)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about doing the Year Project thing, but that's just sure to kill my mojo! I suck at doing KALs and the like. I have all the best intentions, and actually have a queue a mile long, but still, if I were to pick certain items I am for sure going to renege on the list. I guess I will live vicariously through your participation!
ReplyDeleteWHAT SWAP?????? I want to do another one, our last Blogpost one was soooooo much fun and I gained some new friends through it!!!
ReplyDeleteBarely made it. That Fo looks very cute hoping to get more than a sneak peek soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the rainbow yarn!
ReplyDeleteI bet your monster is adorable. I hope you are having a relaxing weekend with time to knit :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm a day late....I finished the knitting yesterday, though. Does that count? :)
