FO Friday 106

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!! I have to admit that it's 11:40pm and I just remembered that it will be Friday in about 20 minutes. Oops! It's been a crazy day today, as I visited with family for my mom's 60th birthday since they were in town, and also showed them the new house, etc. It was a great time and their love our the house made me love it even more.

Speaking of the new house, we might be closing escrow early! WOOHOO! That means we (hopefully) won't have to set up for the Vista Fiber Fiesta the same day we sign the paperwork, do the walk through and get the keys. I can't wait to move in and share pictures of my studio bungalow as we convert it into Candy Skein headquarters!

Due to being busy, I was only able to take this picture of my finished socks with my iPhone.  I know you've seen these a LOT, so I promise this is the last time! I just wanted to prove that they are actually both done!

Have a great weekend!

Work in Progress Wednesday 112

Hi everyone. This is going to be short and sweet as my headache has turned into a migraine. I hope you're all having a great week! You'll be happy to hear that I actually finished the Devil Snare socks and I'll have final pictures of both socks in the pair on Friday for FO Friday.

As far as what I'm working on now, I started a new pair of socks today. I am so excited about my new Candy Skein colorway, Witch's Brew, that I wanted to start knitting with it right away. I wanted a sock that had a pattern, but nothing too hard. Since I have so much going on right now, I wanted something easy but pretty. A friend of mine recommended the pattern Simple Skyp Socks. It's an easy pattern far, but as you can see, I haven't gotten too far.

Thanks it for me! What are you working on?

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's almost October!!?? Where is life going? I thought today was a perfect one to share the October '12 colorway, Witch's Brew.

That’s why I picked Witch’s Brew as the October 2012 colorway! This awesome yarn is kettle dyed in four layers with blues, purples and pinks. It would be perfect for any project!

FO Friday 105

Happy Friday everyone and happy birthday to my mom! I'm happy to announce we had our last two inspections on the house on Thursday! YAY! It's great to be careful with several inspections (we had a ton of inspections due to the age of the house), but they get a little old after awhile.

This should be a fun weekend for me! On Saturday, my husband has to work, so I'm going out with my great friend to look at cabinets/storage/furniture for my studio space at the new house! It's a separate bungalow in the backyard and I can build it out to my work specifications! I'm soo excited about it and I'll be sure to take pictures of the whole process. On Sunday, we're finally getting a chance to go apple picking and I can't wait! I'll try and share pictures of that too!

I normally don't share Candy Skein news/pictures for WIPW or FO Friday unless it's actual knitting, but I'm making today an exception. I hope you don't mind! As I mentioned, I'm getting ready for a show in Vista, CA that is October 13-14, 2012. I didn't get a chance to knit much this week, due to working, so I figured I would share some of that work.

Sorry for the poor lighting, but I took this at 9:30 at night and this was the only place that I could get them all in the same picture. These are skeins that I re-skeined today and all are currently available at candyskein.com in the Yummy fingering section.

That's it for me today! I hope you have a great weekend!

Work in Progress 111

Hi everyone! This is going to be short and sweet as I haven't had much time to knit lately. Unfortunately preparation for the Vista Fiber Fiesta  in Vista, CA and the inspections for the new house has taken any free time I have.  I hope to share some great pictures soon of the house (and tell you more about it, including my yarn/stash room and my work studio!), as well as prep for the Fiber Fiesta.

Today I just have a partial sock to show you. Obviously, it's the second sock of the Devil Snare sock in Candy Skein March '12 colorway, Leprechaun Lollipop.
