Hi everyone! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I'm doing okay. Today (Tuesday), I had one of those days where it started out not how I expected, throwing off the whole day. Half way through, I questioned if I should just quit working for the day and take a nap. Have you ever had one of those?
Instead, I decided to work a little longer and then go inside and work on my Color Affection shawl. I stopped working on it (and actually started it a few times) because I wasn't sure if I wanted to follow the pattern exact, or change it a little as others have done. Right before I got sick, I decided not to do YOs between the k2 on the pattern (I want it to arc a lot), but instead of m1l and m1r, I am doing kfb. We'll see how it goes. If you've made this pattern, as I know a lot of you have, and changed it up a bit, let me know in the comments! I want mine to be really big and snuggly.
As far as yarn is concerned, I'm using a new Candy Skein yarn, as mentioned previously, Candy Skein Sweet fingering (50% merino superwash/50% silk). This colorway is Fudge Brownie, and the other two colorways I'm using will be Brain Freeze for my second color and Pumpkin for the third and final color.
That's it for me today. I hope you have a great rest of the week and I'll see you on Friday!

I hope the week gets better! I love the colour. I love the way it catches the light. It's looking beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have those days fairly often, but as I work half an hour from home a nap never seems to be the answer. Here's hoping to a much improved week. Lovely yarn, as always.
ReplyDeleteI have that pattern, and one of these days, I'm going to get to it!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Sheila
My days are always going off the rails. Usually I only accomplish about half of what I set out to do. But better that than nothing. With all that silk fiber, it's bound to be warm with or without yarn overs :)
ReplyDeleteLovely yarn!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of your yarn. Deb x
ReplyDeleteThat yarn looks so yummy! You always have the best colors. :D
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I know exactly how you are feeling. I feel that way right now, but don't have time to take a nap. I love that colorway and as someone who has knitted with you yarn, I know that it will be super soft and cuddly!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you are feeling better. I have been worried. Really though, you have the rest of the week to perk up because Hockey is coming. And we need you at 100%!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the color so far! Im making a color affection now too, but I'm in the black hole of doom portion ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time joining WIP Wednesday. Thanks for providing a place to share.

I love how rich and warm that brown looks!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, color affection! I have yet to start mine. I love the brown you chose. Can't wait to see it in action with the other colors!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! That brown yarn looks yummy and I bet it feels wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh I definitely have those days sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAs for that yarn - LOVELY!
Fudge brownie is a great color way name. Thank you for naming your color ways. I hate it when a color's assigned some boring number.
