Work-in-Progress Wednesday 62
Hi all! I hope you all had a great weekend and happy late Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends! I had an amazing weekend at the Vista Fiber Fiesta, but more about that tomorrow. I know, I know...you want to hear all about the show and see pictures! You'll just have to come back tomorrow. ;) That being said, check out the Candy Skein website to see new colors of Delicious fingering, Delicious lace and Yummy fingering. I'll have new colors of Yummy lace and Yummy worsted later this week.
This WIPW is going to be pretty short, as I have been finishing projects, not starting them. I guess that's a good thing with the October KAL starting (October 15), as well as Christmas knitting! That leads me to my first WIP...
I just started this tonight at my meet up. It's just the swatch for the Candy Skein Rhombi KAL. I decided to go up two needle sizes for the swatch to try and get gauge since I'm such a tight knitter. I think I've learned my lesson with always having to go about 2 sizes up. We'll see if that does the trick. I plan to also block the swatch, since this will be my first major garment. I'm excited and nervous! I'm doing it in Delicious fingering in Brain Freeze.
My last WIP is a second sock. You may remember that I made a sock a LONG time ago in Candy Skein Yummy fingering in the colorway Blackberry. Since I had the fiber fiesta this weekend, I wanted to obviously use my own yarn while working the booth during the slow times. As you see, I didn't get much done due to the constant flow of traffic through the booth! I'm excited to work on this sock, as it will be my second pair of socks for myself, but first for myself in Candy Skein yarn!
That's it for me this week. I finished my husband's socks, but that's for FO Friday!
For those that are new to WIPW, to share your WIPW post with us, just fill out the Mr. Linky below. Despite it saying you must comment, don't feel as if you do. That is something Mr. Linky automatically adds. I just ask you to check out a few of the links posted to see what everyone else is working on and comment there if you can. Everyone loves feedback and a little encouragement on their projects! Also, please link back to this post in your post to get the word out! The more the merrier!
