Okay, I lied. I haven't finished my fingerless gloves yet. :( Unfortunately, I haven't even knit on them really since Tuesday evening at my crochet/knitting meet up so they don't even look different from the picture on Wednesday. Sad, right?
I have been busy with fiber arts though! As you can imagine, my life revolves around the fiber arts, with Candy Skein and all, and this week wasn't an exception. I've been working on my first post for Life of an Indie Dyer, so I won't share too many details of what I've been up to, so as not to spoil the post that should be coming up either this weekend or Monday. I have however decided to spruce up this boring post with a picture (posted above, sorry for the crappy lighting) of what I completed today (yesterday for those reading this). Here are 13 of the 15 skeins of yarn I re-skeined for the upcoming fiber festival I'm taking part in, the Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival in Hood River, OR (more on that in the Life of an Indie Dyer post). To say that this doesn't even make a dent in what needs to be re-skeined is putting it lightly. The number is probably around 80+ skeins that are dyed and just waiting to be re-skeined and tagged and climbing daily. Yikes!
Anyway, that's enough from me today. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and look for my post in the coming days to kick off my new series, Life as an Indie Dyer!
Share your FOs!
Beautiful yarn! I wish I could attend..
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOooo I am looking forward to your new series! Sounds like a dream job...don't shatter my dream too much!
ReplyDeleteIt is a dream job, so no shattering. :) It's just a LOT of work. ;)
DeleteI was hoping to post a cowl made with your yarn today, but it'll have to be next week now. But, I do have to tell you, I adore the yarn. It's absolutely gorgeous! I'm already picking out my next colour (although I need to knit from stash for a while before I let myself buy it!)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read your post and I'm so happy you enjoyed the yarn. :) Whenever you're ready to buy more and you decide what color you'd like, let me know. If I don't have it in stock, I can dye it for you.
DeleteYour yarn looks wonderful. I've just notice that I'm a yarn addict, which is unnatural because addiction of any other sort is far far far from me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, whilst others dream of bathing in gold, my dream is to be burried in yarn and textiles.
I wish I could buy some of your yarn but my wife won't let me. She keeps telling me that I need to use up some of what we have on hand before buying more.
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Richard! Knit that stash! ;)
DeleteI didn't finish anything either. It's okay. I still have something to show...
ReplyDeleteLovely colors! I can't wait tosee what you are knitting with them :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't keep them as they're for sale.
DeleteI love the colors. I can't wait to see when your done:)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
Deleteoooh, pretty colors!

DeleteOooh gorgeous looking yarn! I wish you'd bring it to the UK!
ReplyDeleteI do actually. I ship around the world. :)
DeleteCan't wait to see your fingerless gloves and I love that yarn.
ReplyDeleteI really rushed to get some projects finished today :)
YUM! That yarn looks amazing. I would just want to sit around and pet it all the time. Probably best that I'm not a dyer... I'd never get any work done. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just stocked up on some gorgeous recycled silk yarn.
ReplyDeleteThat looks lovely. This is one of the first times in my life when I can say I'm full up on stash yarn...
ReplyDeleteLoving the colours x
