Work in Progress 114

Hi everyone! I'm actually posting this from my phone as I don't have Internet at the new home yet and forgot to take my computer when I was out today. Sorry for the shotty post and I promise that the FO Friday post will be back to normal. I can't get Mister Linky to work from my phone, so please just add your link in the comment section. Sorry for the inconvenience and I'll try to run to Starbucks in the morning to add pictures properly (this my first time using the Blogger iphone app) and the Mister Linky!

I've been working on the second Skyp sock in Candy Skein Yummy fingering in Witch's Brew. It's going good and I can't wait to finish the pair!

I started a new shawl in Tosh Sock in colorway Worn Denim. I haven't worked on it much and actually realized I have one too many stitches in one section. Would you rip it out and start over or when I'm done with this part of the pattern just decrease by one? It's not a huge deal but I'm torn.
What do you all think?

  7. I would definitely just decrease your stitch by one - no way would I rip it out unless it totally screwed it up!

  10. Moving house does cause a few problems. Hope you get everything sorted soon. I would see how it looks and if it wasn't particularly noticeable just decrease at the next available opportunity.

  26. Socks are gorg! I could go either way on the shawl...either just throw a k2tog in there on the edge, or rip it b/c you're not very far. I feel like it would depend on my mood at the moment I discovered it, LOL! Probably 70-30 for restart vs. just fix it, given my track record. =)

  27. I would likely just rip out and redo, you aren't that far along. But you could also decrease. There, I wasn't much help! LOL.

  31. I would rip back if I'd only started but, if I'd got further along, I'd just decrease! I hope you settle in to your new home soon - and well done for doing WIP Wednesday amongst all the chaos! 42. You are a hero, still posting, though you don't have internet at home! I'd just decrease the 1 stitch out - if the increases aren't suppose to line up to a certain pattern. Otherwise I'd rip it out and start again.

  44. Looks like we can just use the comments instead of Mr. Linky today. How ya doing after the move?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Gorgeous yarn choices. My fix for things like more stitches really depends on my mood, sometimes I'll just decrease it away ... sometimes I'll rip back. As close to the start as you are I'd probably just start over.
