Work in Progress 114
Hi everyone! I'm actually posting this from my phone as I don't have Internet at the new home yet and forgot to take my computer when I was out today. Sorry for the shotty post and I promise that the FO Friday post will be back to normal. I can't get Mister Linky to work from my phone, so please just add your link in the comment section. Sorry for the inconvenience and I'll try to run to Starbucks in the morning to add pictures properly (this my first time using the Blogger iphone app) and the Mister Linky!
I've been working on the second Skyp sock in Candy Skein Yummy fingering in Witch's Brew. It's going good and I can't wait to finish the pair!
I started a new shawl in Tosh Sock in colorway Worn Denim. I haven't worked on it much and actually realized I have one too many stitches in one section. Would you rip it out and start over or when I'm done with this part of the pattern just decrease by one? It's not a huge deal but I'm torn.
What do you all think?

Hope you appreciate the business I've sent your way - I've been instructed to buy 8 skeins from you over the last few days ;)
ReplyDeleteAs for my link: http://kiwiriaknits.blogspot.dk/2012/10/wip-wednesday-on-my-needles-and-between.html
You've made my week, Maria! You bought just at the right time, as the shop will be closed for the fiber fiesta I'm in this weekend! Thank you! I also put a little surprise in the package with the Rainbow Fruit Chews. :) enjoy and let me know when you receive them!

I would definitely just decrease your stitch by one - no way would I rip it out unless it totally screwed it up!
ReplyDeleteHere's my link: http://genkiandchips.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/beatnik-sweater-wip-wednesday.html
LOL do you ever sit still ? :-)
ReplyDeletehttp://kismetscompanion.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/wip-wednesday-114-neverending-story.html
I would rip it out. :-) Good luck with the house!
ReplyDeleteHere is my link: http://babajeza.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/farbpalette-sample-board/
Moving house does cause a few problems. Hope you get everything sorted soon. I would see how it looks and if it wasn't particularly noticeable just decrease at the next available opportunity.
ReplyDeletehttp://rosescrafts.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/wip-wednesday-10102012.html
If it didn't interfere with the pattern I would decrease by one at some point!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spinsterbeth.blogspot.com/2012/10/socktober-ninth.html
It's going to be a pretty pair of socks.

Love both the yarns, hope you get some advice about the shawl, I have never knitted one so not sure what the overall effect of your extra stitch would be. You can read about my WIP over here.
ReplyDeleteYour sock looks great! I love that pattern. Good luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteI love the colourway you're using!

Oh I am so in love with that color! I would just decrease, but I avoid ripping whenever possible.

ReplyDeleteI would decrease it by on noticeable.
ReplyDeleteHere is my link http://hazelscrochet.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/scarf-and-secrets-wip.html
Socks are gorg! I could go either way on the shawl...either just throw a k2tog in there on the edge, or rip it b/c you're not very far. I feel like it would depend on my mood at the moment I discovered it, LOL! Probably 70-30 for restart vs. just fix it, given my track record. =)
ReplyDeleteMy link: I can knit *anything* for an hour
I would likely just rip out and redo, you aren't that far along. But you could also decrease. There, I wasn't much help! LOL.
ReplyDeletehttp://chrisknits.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/wip-wednesday-8/
Very nice colourway - looks very much like a Badlands colourway from Wandering Cat yarns that I just knit. As for your dilemma ... RIP!
ReplyDeleteOops, here's my link ..
ReplyDeletehttp://mindingmyownstitches.blogspot.ca/2012/10/work-in-progress-wednesday_10.html
I'm probably rip back since you're not too far along. love the denim color.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.metzroth.com/katie/
I would rip back if I'd only started but, if I'd got further along, I'd just decrease! I hope you settle in to your new home soon - and well done for doing WIP Wednesday amongst all the chaos! Here's my contribution for this week http://www.magpielly.co.uk/blog/2012/10/10/wip-wednesday-not-so-green-gable-progress/
ReplyDeleteBoth of your Wip look great!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time making a comment on your blog, I love what you do!
I would like to participate in WIP Wednesdays and FO Fridays, but my blog's in spanish, Is that OK?
Thank you! Of course you can participate, just make sure you have some pretty pictures of knitting or crochet we can all drool over! :)
DeleteBeautiful!

Love the colorway! I have a pumpkin hat and milo in progress:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.frontierdreams.blogspot.com/2012/10/keep-calm-craft-on-crafting-on_9.html
Gorgeous colors for both projects! Since it is at the beginning, I would rip back to the mistake and fix it. Otherwise it would haunt me for the rest of the project.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.autumngeisha.blogspot.com/2012/10/knitters-amnesia.HTML
Probably start again. Otherwise it will just niggle.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the unpacking.

I love that yarn!
ReplyDeletehttp://how-unseamly.blogspot.ca/2012/10/wip-wednesday-october-10-2012.html
I do like the yarn. Can't tell what the shawl is really going to look like but that's okay :)
ReplyDeletehttp://yarnaddictconfessions.blogspot.com/2012/10/wip-wednesday.html
Love the socks and I personally would just decrease and hide it.
ReplyDeletehttp://amaryllis-musings.blogspot.com/2012/10/wip-wednesday-kryptonite.html
Absolutely decrease by one when it's convenient. It's a sock, they don't require perfection!
ReplyDeleteAnd my linky http://twistedsticher.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/wip-wednesday-101012/
You are a hero, still posting, though you don't have internet at home! I'd just decrease the 1 stitch out - if the increases aren't suppose to line up to a certain pattern. Otherwise I'd rip it out and start again.
ReplyDeleteHere is my link to the WiP's I'm working on: http://herrlichkeiten.net/blog/zwischenstand-101012
Love the socks. You have a great eye for color. Mixed Martial Arts and Crafts: http://wp.me/p1tHUV-ns
ReplyDeleteLooks like we can just use the comments instead of Mr. Linky today. How ya doing after the move?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous yarn choices. My fix for things like more stitches really depends on my mood, sometimes I'll just decrease it away ... sometimes I'll rip back. As close to the start as you are I'd probably just start over.
ReplyDeleteHere's my link for the week. http://shadowbyrd.blogspot.com/2012/10/wip-wednesday-colorfully-skewed-socks.html
